Data Protection Policy
The Wantage Camera Club (WCC) is established with the objects set out in its constitution and is a data controller within the United Kingdom.
The personal information referred to in this Policy may include name, contact details, service records, records of entries to events, and such other information as may be necessary for the effective management of the legitimate interests of the WCC. Any person wishing to verify the information held by the WCC may apply to the Secretary.
The WCC collects and holds personal information about:
1. The members and officers of the club and those offering their services to the WCC community e.g. as judges or presenters.
• This information is used to facilitate administration and services. The information is kept electronically by the club’s officers and may be printed for internal use only. The contact details of the WCC committee members may be published in the annual programme or provided to third parties as required to facilitate the administration of the club.
2. Others necessary for the conduct of the business of the WCC.
• This information is used to satisfy a requested service or a contractual requirement and may be retained to confirm the outcome.
3. Photographers as the creators of Images used in the activities of the WCC.
• This information is managed subject to the Club Competition Rules for WCC Competition Events.
The WCC may retain historical archives for example but not limited to, records of meetings, handbooks, catalogues, awards and other event results.
